Zen Buddhist Priest
Daigaku Rummé

If you stop thinking, "This is me and these are my opinions," then everything is the truth ... Whatever you see, hear, taste, smell, touch and think: whatever is happening now is the truth. You don't have to look for it. In fact, looking for something is already your opinion. Let go of that. Let go of that and then wherever you are, that is the Dharma.
Daigaku Rummé

Daigaku Rummé was born in 1950 in Mason City, Iowa, USA. In 1976 he entered Hosshin-ji, a 400 year old Zen Monastery in central Japan. He stayed for 26 years as a student of Sekkei Harada-roshi. Daigaku (which means “Great Mountain”) is an accomplished calligrapher and has translated a collection of Harada-roshi's talks into English for the book, “The Essence of Zen.” Daigaku currently works for the Soto Zen Buddhism International Center based in San Francisco, California. This will be his second visit to Puerto Vallarta and Mar de Jade.
